1. Preserve the original file
Keep an unchanged copy of the original .sav file. Record the software version, variable labels, value labels, missing-value rules, weights, and filters used in the original analysis.

Visit the DataStatPro application in your browser. On a phone or tablet, landscape orientation gives data tables and output panels more space.
3. Import or select data
Eligible accounts can import the .sav file directly. Confirm that the number of cases and variables matches the source file. Inspect categorical codes, date variables, decimals, and missing values before analysis.
4. Recreate the analysis deliberately
Choose the statistical procedure by the research question, not simply by the old SPSS menu name. Specify the outcome, predictors or groups, confidence level, alternative hypothesis, and requested diagnostics.
5. Compare a validation case
When migrating an existing project, rerun at least one known analysis in both systems. Compare sample size, estimates, standard errors, degrees of freedom, test statistics, confidence intervals, p values, and effect-size definitions.
