How are statistical results validated?
We prioritize statistical correctness through rigorous testing and validation. Our platform uses industry-standard libraries like jStat, Math.js, and Simple Statistics. Key algorithms are cross-validated against established software like R and Python (SciPy/Statsmodels). We run automated regression tests on every build to ensure accuracy. See our About page for more details on our methodology.
Is my data secure when using DataStatPro?
Yes, your data is completely secure. When you import data into DataStatPro, it remains entirely within your web browser. All statistical calculations are performed locally on your device using JavaScript. Your data is never transmitted to our servers or any cloud service unless you explicitly choose to save it (Pro users only). This ensures maximum privacy and security for your sensitive research data.
Can I store my data in the cloud?
Cloud storage is available exclusively for Pro users. If you have a Pro subscription, you can choose to save your datasets and analysis results to your dedicated, encrypted storage space. This data is accessible only from your account and is protected with enterprise-grade security. Guest, Standard, and Edu users work entirely offline with browser-based processing for maximum privacy.
Is my data ever sent to external servers?
No, for Guest, Standard, and Edu users, your data never leaves your browser. All calculations happen locally on your device. Only Pro users have the option to save data to their secure cloud storage, and this is always an explicit choice. We never access, analyze, or share your data with third parties.

What features are available for Guest users?
Guest users can explore the full interface with built-in sample datasets and no time limit. Guest Access does not support importing personal data, saving datasets, or data persistence. Choose an eligible Educational Account or paid plan when you need those capabilities.
What is the Standard account and its cost?
The Standard account allows you to import your own data (CSV, Excel, etc.) and access the full suite of basic and advanced statistical analysis tools. New users can enjoy a 15-day free trial with full access to all Standard features. After the trial period, the Standard account is available for a low annual subscription of just $39/year, which includes saved analysis history, premium support, and an ad-free experience.
What is the Educational (Edu) tier?
The Educational tier includes all Standard features with higher data limits for academic users. Edu users can import data and perform basic statistical analyses. To access advanced features like ANOVA or Regression, users can upgrade to Edu Pro.
What makes the Pro tier special?
Pro users get the complete DataStatPro experience: secure cloud storage for datasets and results, cross-device synchronization, advanced statistical methods (meta-analysis, survival analysis, machine learning), results manager for organizing analyses, priority processing, white-label options for organizations, and dedicated customer success support.

Data Management

What data formats can I import?
DataStatPro supports multiple data formats: CSV files, Excel (.xlsx, .xls), TSV (tab-separated), and JSON. You can also paste data directly from spreadsheets or enter data manually using our built-in data editor. Large files up to 100MB are supported for most formats.
How can I export my results?
Export options include: statistical results as PDF reports, data tables as CSV/Excel, charts as PNG/SVG/PDF, complete analysis reports with methodology, APA-formatted results for publications, and raw data with applied transformations. Pro users can also export to cloud storage and share via secure links.
Does DataStatPro help with data cleaning?
Yes! DataStatPro includes comprehensive data cleaning tools: automatic detection of missing values, outlier identification and handling, data type conversion, duplicate removal, variable recoding and transformation, normality testing and transformations, and data validation checks.

Analysis Features

What statistical tests are available?
DataStatPro offers comprehensive statistical testing: descriptive statistics, t-tests (one-sample, independent, paired), ANOVA (one-way, two-way, repeated measures), non-parametric tests (Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, Wilcoxon), correlation analysis (Pearson, Spearman), regression (linear, logistic, multiple), chi-square tests, and survival analysis. Each test includes assumption checking and effect size calculations.
How does the AI Analysis Assistant work?
The AI Assistant helps interpret your statistical results by providing plain-English explanations of findings, suggesting appropriate follow-up analyses, identifying potential issues with your data or methods, and helping write results sections for reports.
